A Skywest Airlines plane has made an emergency landing in Milwaukee due to a landing gear problem.

General Mitchell International Airport spokeswoman Pat Rowe says crew had notified the airport about 10 minutes before landing Tuesday that only two of the three sets of landing gear would lower.

She says the plane landed without one set at about 5:10 p.m. She says no one was hurt, but rescue personnel were ready just in case.

A Skywest statement indicated all 36 passengers and three crew members deplaned safely.

The plane, which was a CRJ200, was arriving from Omaha, Neb.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory says the agency's investigation will take several weeks.
