NEW YORK – The mother of two children who were found stabbed to death in a bathtub last year on Manhattan's Upper West Side says art is helping her heal.
Marina Krim spoke Wednesday evening at a fundraiser for her family's nonprofit, the Lulu and Leo Fund. It's named after her two children killed last October. The fund aims to support art programs in the city.
Nanny Yoselyn Ortega has been charged with murder in the deaths. She has pleaded not guilty.
Marina Krim says that she was wandering in a daze when she discovered a piece of art. It was the image is of a boy and brightly colored hearts. She says she felt her children were sending her messages, and it helped her heal.
