Philly.com reports, Rudi Adolph Koos, 80, admitted Wednesday to choking his 75-year-old wife to death because he suspected that she was having an affair. He committed the murder from his wheelchair.

The guilty plea to third-degree murder for the slaying of Waltraud "Trudi" Koos will likely send him to prison for at least five years, attorneys said

"He indicated to me that he didn't care what sentence he received," Koos defense lawyer, Francis J. Genovese told Philly.com. "As far as he was concerned, his life ended the night that hers did."

At the age of 15, Koos was drafted to serve in Hitler's army late in World War II. After the war, he married Waltraud, and they emigrated to the United States. They never had children.
