Tyrone Goard caught four touchdown passes and T.J. Pryor became Eastern Kentucky's all-time passing yardage leader as the No. 19 Colonels rallied past UT Martin, 28-16, in the Ohio Valley Conference on Saturday.

EKU (4-1, 2-0) trailed 16-7 in the third quarter when Jared McClain threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Goard. Pryor then threw two of his three touchdown passes to Goard in the fourth quarter.

Goard caught seven passes for 175 yards.

Pryor finished the game with 211 passing yards, giving him 6,085 for his career. Josh Greco (2004-07) previously held EKU's all-time record with 5,992 yards.

Pryor's 45 career touchdown passes are one shy of the school record, held by Jim Guice (1965-68).

Matt Denham rushed for 94 yards on 29 carries and EKU held a 405-269 edge in total yards.

UT Martin fell to 3-2 and 1-1. Jason McNair and Trent Garland scored on touchdown runs for the Skyhawks.

Sam Houston State ended a two-game losing streak by routing Texas Southern, 50-6, Quarterback Brian Bell threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Texas A&M transfer Chance Nelson.

The Bearkats totaled 549 yards offensively, with Keshawn Hill (six carries for 74 yards and one touchdown) leading the ground attack.

They limited Texas Southern to 149 yards. Linebacker Darius Taylor had eight tackles, including two quarterback sacks.
