Tim Wilkerson raced to his first Funny Car victory since 2011, beating Ron Capps on Sunday in the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway.

Wilkerson had a 4.318-second pass at 260.31 mph in his Ford Shelby Mustang for his 18th career win.

"That 4.03 in the first round was pretty impressive," Wilkerson said. "I was happy with that. As the track got hotter, I did a good job until the finals. I'm really unhappy about what it did in the final. I was trying to go about a 0.14, and the thing broke the tires loose."

Antron Brown won in Top Fuel, Jason Line in Pro Stock, and Hector Arana in Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Brown beat Lead Pritchett with a 3.887 at 310.48 for his second victory of the season. He has 33 career Top Fuel victories after winning 16 times in Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Line had a 6.606 at 211.33 in his raced his Chevy Camaro to edge teammate Greg Anderson for his second win of the year and 37th overall. Arana earned his first win in Pro Stock Motorcycle since 2009 with a 7.236 at 196.30 on a Buell. He beat Eddie Krawiec in the final for his seventh career victory.
