Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Texans have signed veteran safety Stevie Brown.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
In 2012, Brown was second in the NFL in interceptions with eight and also defended 11 passes. He missed the entire 2013 season with a torn ACL sustained in a preseason game, but re-signed with the Giants for 2014 and finished with 38 tackles and a sack in 16 games (eight starts).
Brown, 27, was originally a seventh-round pick by the Raiders in 2010. In 55 games with Oakland, Indianapolis and New York, he has 149 tackles, eight interceptions and 14 passes defended.
