Christian Standhardinger scored 27 points and Hauns Brereton added 24 to lead Hawaii to a 76-64 victory against Maryland-Eastern Shore in the Rainbow Classic on Friday night.

In the season opener for both teams, Vander Joaquim added 11 points and Brandon Spearman 10 for the Warriors. Issac Fotu had 15 rebounds.

Standhardinger added seven rebounds and shot 10 of 15 from the floor.

Troy Snyder had 17 points and seven rebounds and Ishaq Pitt scored 15 points for the Hawks.

Hawaii shot 51.9 percent from the floor — including 51.7 percent in the first half en route to a 39-29 lead at intermission — and outrebounded Maryland-Eastern Shore 43-31.
