Sports Authority takes over Broncos' stadium name

The home of the Denver Broncos will now be known as Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Metropolitan Football Stadium District unanimously voted to rename the home of the Broncos, previously named Invesco Field at Mile High.

Sports Authority, an Englewood-headquartered sporting goods company, will replace the 10 years remaining on Invesco's initial naming rights deal.

According to the Denver Post, Sports Authority will pay an average of $6 million per year to have its name on Denver's stadium.
