Renton, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin will have to wait another week to make his season debut.
Harvin returned to the practice field Monday, but the team announced Saturday he is still not ready to play following hip surgery on Aug. 1. Harvin will miss Monday's contest against the St. Louis Rams.
The offseason acquisition is currently on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, but is eligible to be activated.
The Seahawks traded a 2013 first-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings to obtain Harvin, one of the league's most dynamic receivers and return men who has battled injuries all throughout his first four seasons in the league.
Harvin compiled 62 catches for 677 yards and three touchdowns over nine games with the Vikings last season, missing the final seven contests due to a severely sprained ankle. He produced 967 yards and six touchdowns on 87 receptions the previous year, while adding 345 yards and two more scores on 52 rushing attempts.
The versatile 25-year-old has also returned five kickoffs for touchdowns over his career.
