Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Pinch-hitter Rafael Ynoa drove in the go- ahead run in the sixth inning and the Colorado Rockies continued their winning ways against the San Francisco Giants Friday night.
Ynoa's double plated DJ LeMahieu during the three-run inning to give the Rockies a 6-4 victory in the opener of the three-game series.
Charlie Blackmon homered and LeMahieu had three hits for the Rockies, who are 4-0 this season against the defending World Series champions.
Eddie Butler (2-1) scattered nine hits and allowed four runs over six innings in Colorado's third consecutive win.
"I feel if our starters can do that, our bullpen is pretty good," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "I feel confident if we hand the ball to them at that point in the game, we're in good shape."
Chris Heston (2-2) was pounded for 11 hits and six runs over 5 1/3 frames for the Giants, who were coming off a three-game sweep of the Dodgers.
"I left pitches up there. I have to work both sides of the plate," Heston said.
Brandon Belt had three hits and an RBI, and Justin Maxwell hit a two-run homer in defeat.
Belt's double to left scored Joe Panik in the fifth for a 4-3 San Francisco edge, but the Rockies went ahead the following inning. LeMahieu's double to right plated Carlos Gonzalez. Ynoa, pinch-hitting for Butler, sliced a double into the left field corner to give the Rockies the lead. Javier Lopez relieved Heston, but Corey Dickerson hit a sinking liner into left for an RBI.
Boone Logan faced trouble in the top of the eighth when Belt singled and Maxwell walked to start the inning. Casey McGehee, though, grounded into a 4-6-3 double play. Crawford was then called out on a borderline low pitch to cap the frame. Giants manager Bruce Bochy was ejected for arguing the call by home plate umpire John Tumpane.
Adam Ottavino got a double-play ball off the bat of Panik to end the game. Ottavino notched his third save of 2015.
Maxwell homered to left-center in the second, but Nick Hundley and LeMahieu had RBI hits in the bottom portion.
Angel Pagan's run-scoring single in the third made it 3-2, but Blackmon went deep over the wall in center to equal the score going to the fourth.

The Rockies have won five in a row against the Giants ... Colorado left 11 men on base but still finished 5-for-14 with runners in scoring position ... The Rockies are in a stretch of 25 consecutive games against NL West teams.
