LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) - Boston Bruins winger Mark Recchi has pretty much seen it all in his long NHL career and knows firsthand that anything's possible in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

He was a member of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006 when they lost the opening two games of a first-round series with the Montreal Canadiens at home and rebounded to win the Stanley Cup. He also was on the 1996 Montreal team that won the first two games of a series at Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers and then lost the next four.

Boston dropped the first two games of its current series with Montreal at home and then won Monday night at the Bell Centre. The Bruins will look to even the series there Thursday night.

Bruins coach Claude Julien put the team through a brisk 75-minute practice late Wednesday morning as the team concluded a two-day respite in Lake Placid.
