Sandy, UT – Real Salt Lake waived defender Diogo de Almeida on Thursday.
The 23-year-old de Almeida did not play for Real Salt Lake this year, but did start three reserve matches. He was selected in the second round of the 2012 SuperDraft out of Southern Methodist University.
