Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Steven Souza hit a three-run home run to lead the Tampa Bay Rays in a 9-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles in a rubber match on Sunday.
David DeJesus hit a solo home run and scored twice while Logan Forsythe had an RBI and two runs for the Rays, who won the final two of this three-game set on the heels of a six-game losing streak.
"That skid was tough, but to beat an in-division team like this means a lot for us," said Souza. "They're a tough team and this was a good series."
Jake Odorizzi (4-5) snapped a three-start losing streak as he pitched six innings and gave up four runs on seven hits with a pair of walks and six strikeouts.
Manny Machado and Delmon Young each homered twice for the Orioles, who have lost six of their last 10. Chris Tillman (2-7) dropped his sixth straight decision after giving up six runs -- five earned -- on nine hits in just 4 2/3 innings.
"He's gonna pitch good for us this year and hopefully for a long time," said Baltimore manager Buck Showalter about Tillman. "I keep that in mind but he's struggling a bit right now."
Young's solo home run in the first put the Orioles on the board, but the Rays countered in the top of the second.
Forsythe doubled to lead off and later moved to third on an Asdrubal Cabrera ground out. After Nick Franklin walked, Bobby Wilson punched a single to right that easily scored Forsythe. Franklin went to third on the play and Young's throw to third went wide, allowing Franklin to score for a 2-1 lead.
Young's second home run of the game in the third tied the game, but Tampa went back on top in the fifth.
With two outs, Evan Longoria kept the inning alive with a walk and DeJesus followed with a single. A single from Forsythe gave the Rays the lead back, and Souza followed with his third home run in as many days for a 6-2 lead.
DeJesus made it a 7-2 game with a solo shot in the seventh, while Machado clubbed his two-run shot in the home half to make it a three-run game.
Longoria's sac fly in the eighth and Brandon Guyer's RBI single in the ninth made it a 9-4 game.
Machado led off the ninth with a homer against Xavier Cedeno, and Young and Chris Davis later reached base to bring out Brad Boxberger, who retired the final two batters for his 15th save of the season.

Baltimore still leads the season series, 5-4 ... The Rays were 5-for-18 with runners in scoring position and stranded nine, while the Orioles left 10 on base as they were 0-for-4 with RISP ... The Orioles start a four-game series in Houston on Monday ... The Rays begin a three-game series in Anaheim on Monday.
