Raiders sign Hayden

Napa, CA – The Oakland Raiders signed cornerback D.J. Hayden on Thursday.

Hayden was selected 12th overall by the Raiders in April's draft.

The Raiders made the announcement without noting whether Hayden, who underwent surgery in May to remove abdominal scar tissue in June, would be on the field for the first practice of training camp on Friday.

Hayden played in 22 career games with 21 starts at Houston, recording six interceptions, 127 tackles, one sack, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 19 passes defensed.
