Auxerre, France – Dennis Oliech recorded a second-half hat 1 on Sunday.
Oliech scored in the 52nd, 63rd, and 67th minutes to turn the result comfortably in Auxerre's favor. He has four goals on the year.
Modibo Maiga had given Sochaux an early lead, opening the scoring in just the second minute, but Alain Traore tallied a goal in the 51st minute immediately before Oliech put the match out of reach for Sochaux with his three-goal performance.
The win is just the second of the season for Auxerre, which has 11 points on the season. After opening the season with a loss, the club is now unbeaten in its last seven league games.
Sochaux is handed its third loss of the season, as it has nine points from its eight Ligue 1 games.
Rennes 1, St Etienne 1
Rennes, France - Youssouf Hadji and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang traded goals on opposite sides of halftime, as Rennes and St Etienne played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Hadji put Rennes in front just before the break with his goal in the 41st minute, but Aubameyang equalized with a header in the 56th minute off an assist from Fabien Lemoine.
Rennes, 15 points, moves to within two points of leaders PSG, Lyon, and Toulouse, who all top the table with 17 points. St Etienne has nine points from its eight games.
Brest 1, Ajaccio 1
Brest, France - Brest and Ajaccio played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday, swapping goals five minutes apart in the second half.
Nolan Roux gave Brest the lead with a header in the 61st minute, but Richard Socrier responded in the 66th minute to help Ajaccio share the spoils.
Both teams have claimed just six points from their opening eight games.
