Oklahoma athletic department officials say linebacker Ronnell Lewis has been released from a Phoenix-area hospital and is returning home.

Lewis suffered a mild concussion on Saturday during the third quarter of the Fiesta Bowl, where No. 9 Oklahoma beat Connecticut 48-20.

The 6-foot-2, 240-pound sophomore walked off the field after the play, but minutes later, medical officials immobilized him on a board and he was taken on a cart to the Sooners' locker room. He later was taken to a Glendale, Ariz., hospital.

Oklahoma's head athletic trainer, Scott Anderson, said Monday that Lewis' prognosis is good.
