No illusion: Magic score 56 in blowout loss to Celtics

Boston, MA – Paul Pierce had 19 points and seven assists and 56 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Prior to the game, the Celtics had been 0-6 this season against teams with a winning record.

Orlando set a franchise record for fewest points scored in a game, shooting just 24.6 percent from the floor and committing 25 turnovers.

Brandon Bass also had 19 points for Boston in 34 minutes off the bench and Kevin Garnett scored 14 with 10 rebounds. The Celtics won for just the second time in their last seven games at home.

Dwight Howard had 18 points and 14 rebounds, but no other Orlando player scored in double digits. The Magic had a four-game road winning streak snapped in their first loss away from Orlando since January 2 at Detroit.
