Michel converted an equalizing penalty kick in the 72nd minute as FC Dallas rallied from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday at FC Dallas Stadium.

San Jose got off to a flying start as Alan Gordon scored just eight minutes into the match and Steven Beitashour scored his second career goal eight minutes later to give the visitors an early advantage.

But just three minutes later FC Dallas pulled one back when Blas Perez found the back of the net for his 10th goal of the campaign and FC Dallas went into the break trailing by one.

After the break, FC Dallas carried the play and were given an opportunity to level the match when 'Quakes defender Victor Bernardez pulled Perez down in the box, resulting in a penalty kick.

Michel calmly buried it to put the sides back on level terms and things got even better for FCD when Justin Morrow was sent off, reducing San Jose to 10 men for the final eight minutes.

But they were unable to find a winner and had to settle for one point.

The result sees FC Dallas inch into the final playoff spot in the West on 37 points, while San Jose stays on 34 points.
