Marseille, France – Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac is expected to be sidelined around six weeks after undergoing groin surgery, the French club announced Friday.
Gignac, 26, has an adductor injury that required surgery Friday. The Frenchman had another groin operation this year, but the new injury is not related.
Capped 16 times for France, Gignac has struggled to find a place for Marseille this season, and the latest injury could limit his chances once he recovers.
