Seattle, WA – The Seattle Mariners recalled outfielder Carlos Peguero from Triple-A Tacoma Thursday.
Peguero made his major league debut for the Mariners last season, appearing in 46 games and hitting .196 with six home runs and 19 RBI.
He is batting .293 with eight doubles, 18 home runs and 41 runs batted in over 49 games with Tacoma this year.
To make room on the roster, Seattle optioned pitcher Hector Noesi to Tacoma.
Noesi pitched to a 2-11 record with a 5.77 ERA in 17 starts for the Mariners. He had dropped his last eight decisions.
