Lu wins Fubon Senior Open by 5

Taipei, Taiwan, China – Chien Soon Lu shot a three-under 69 shortened Fubon Senior Open by an impressive five strokes.

Lu finished 54 holes at Miramar Golf & Country Club at 12-under 204 for his first European Senior Tour victory. He needed to play only 14 holes on Sunday after rain on Saturday washed away any chance at playing a full tournament.

"I felt confident coming into the event and it is great to be able to hold the trophy," Lu said.

For the Champions Tour regular, it was Lu's first European Senior Tour event other than the ones co-sanctioned by both tours.

Amateur Lorens Chan finished a distant second at seven-under 209 after a closing 70, and Frankie Minoza (68) took third at five-under. Tsang-te Chen (71) was fourth at minus-three, and Massy Kuramoto (75) was fifth at two- under.
