Chris Long hit a game-winning jumper with no time left to give Elon a 70-69 victory over Columbia on Sunday.

The Phoenix (6-7) trailed 68-65 with 1:01 left before Long hit a 3 to tie it with 42 seconds remaining. Asenso Ampim then missed his first free throw and made his second to put the Phoenix back on top, 69-68, with 8 seconds left. Elon then called a timeout to set up Long's game-winner.

Long finished with 22 points and nine assists as Elon improved to 1-4 all time against Ivy League schools.

Elon trailed 61-49 with 6:14 to play before going on a 14-1 run to take its first lead since 2:54 into the game. Long's 3 capped the spurt for a 63-62 lead with 3:06 to play.

Drew Spradlin scored 12 points and Lucas Troutman had 11 for the Phoenix.

Brian Barbour had 21 points and Ampim had 14 for the Lions (7-5), who snapped a four-game winning streak.
