Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles will be out "a few weeks," according to manager Kenny Dalglish, with a collarbone injury suffered during Wednesday's Carling Cup win at Exeter City.

Meireles left the field clutching his shoulder after just 19 minutes of a 3-1 Liverpool victory.

"Raul has hurt his collarbone. I don't know what the technical term is but he fell heavily," Dalglish said. "He will come back with us and we will see how long it is before he is back.

"We don't know how serious it is but it'll be a few weeks."

Liverpool hosts Bolton on Saturday in the English Premier League.
