Bethlehem, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Lehigh University starting quarterback Brandon Bialkowski will have season-ending surgery on a broken collarbone Thursday.

Bialkowski was injured during the third quarter of Lehigh's 48-10 loss at Bucknell this past Saturday.

In eight games this season, the senior left-hander has completed 216-of-337 pass attempts, averaging almost 331 passing yards per game to rank fourth in the FCS. He has thrown for 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Lehigh (6-2), ranked 22nd nationally, has a bye this weekend. Junior Matt McHale or freshman Nick Shafnisky could replace Bialkowski as the starter when the Mountain Hawks next face Holy Cross on Nov. 9.

Lehigh coach Andy Coen confirmed Bialkowski's injury to the Express-Times of Easton on Tuesday.
