Los Angeles Galaxy forward Chad Barrett suffered a dislocated right ankle in training Thursday and will miss the MLS Cup.

Barrett started each of the Galaxy's three playoff matches, playing 211 of the possible 270 minutes. The seven-year veteran was second on the team with seven goals during the regular season, and also had five assists.

In his first year with L.A. after a trade with Toronto FC in January, Barrett chipped in one more goal and one more assist in other competitions.

Los Angeles plays the Houston Dynamo in the MLS Cup on Nov. 20 at 9 p.m. (ET) at The Home Depot Center, the Galaxy's home field.
