NEW YORK (Reuters) - The New York Jets have signed four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Trevor Pryce in bid to boost their defensive line, the NFL team said on Thursday.

Pryce led the Ravens with 6.5 sacks and had 31 tackles last year but has made only one tackle this season as a non-starter for the 2-1 Ravens.

Ranked fourth in sacks among active NFL players, Pryce was drafted in the first round in 1997 by the Denver Broncos, where he stayed until joining the Ravens in 2006.

He is expected to be in the Jets lineup for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
