NEW YORK (Reuters) - Linebacker Aaron Maybin, a 2009 first-round draft pick who was cut by the Buffalo Bills earlier this week, signed a one-year deal Wednesday with the New York Jets, the National Football League club said.
Maybin, selected 11th overall out of Penn State, failed to meet expectations in Buffalo, where he played in 26 games and did not register a single sack despite a standout college career with Penn State.
The Jets also announced they had waived wide receiver Cordarol Scales and defensive back Richard Taylor.
