Defending champion Fredrik Jacobson's two-round 131 held up for a one-stroke lead as golfers finished the rain-delayed second round of the Travelers Championship.

Jacobson shot a 66 on Friday before thunderstorms halted play.

J.B. Holmes, who underwent brain surgery last September, finished a round of 62 on Saturday morning. He is one shot back, tied with Camilo Villegas, who shot a 64, and Will Claxton, who followed a first-round 65 with a 67.

Eighty-eight golfers made the cut at even par to begin the third round Saturday afternoon.

Jacobson is trying to join Phil Mickelson, the 2001 and 2002 winner, as the only players to successfully defend a title at River Highlands.
