Hibernian signs Irish striker Doyle

Hibernian signed striker Eoin Doyle on month deal Friday, making the Irishman new coach Pat Fenlon's first new signing.

Doyle, 23, last played for Sligo Rovers and will officially join Hibs once the January transfer window opens. He played well over 100 matches for Sligo, and scored nearly 40 goals from 2009-11.

The 6-foot attacker previously played with Shamrock from 2007-09.

Fenlon became Hibernian's new coach in late November. Hibs sits even on points at the bottom of the Scottish Premier League table with Dunfermline.
