Fourth seed Marina Erakovic posted a semifinal victory and tournament stalwart Sofia Arvidsson secured a berth in her third final here in seven years at the $220,000 Memphis International tennis event.

New Zealand's Erakovic outlasted Russian Vera Dushevina 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 to reach her second career WTA final, while the veteran Swede Arvidsson, unseeded this week, handled Italian Alberta Brianti 6-3, 7-5 Friday on the indoor hardcourts at The Racquet Club of Memphis.

The 23-year-old Erakovic, who was born in Croatia, lost in her only previous final, which was in Quebec City last year.

Arvidsson titled here in 2006 and was the Memphis runner-up two years ago. The 28-year-old will appear in her fourth career final overall and is seeking a second title. Her lone WTA championship came here in Memphis six years ago.

Erakovic and Arvidsson have met once on the WTA circuit, with Erakovic prevailing in straight sets last year in Stanford.

The newest Memphis champ will collect $37,000.
