Edmonton Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has - his second consecutive award.

Nugent-Hopkins joins Evgeni Malkin (2006-07) as the only players in the last 20 years to win the honor in back-to-back months to start the season.

The first overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Nugent-Hopkins, posted six goals and 16 points during the month, including a five-assist performance in a 9-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on November 19.

Nugent-Hopkins has scored 11 goals this season and his 27 points rank tied for fifth overall in the NHL this season.

He beat out New Jersey Devils center Adam Henrique, Nashville Predators center Craig Smith, Philadelphia Flyers right wing Matt Read and Buffalo Sabres goaltender Jhonas Enroth to win the award.
