Nate Burleson and Ryan Broyles are competing for playing time at wide receiver. That doesn't mean there's any bad blood between these two Detroit Lions, both of whom are trying to bounce back from a 2012 season halted by injury.

Burleson is the veteran, a 31-year-old entering his 11th season in the NFL. He refers to himself as a bit of a big brother.

Broyles is coming off a rookie year that looked promising at times. If both players are healthy, the Lions will have valuable options at receiver opposite star Calvin Johnson.

Burleson played only six games last season because of a broken right leg. Broyles played 10, but he went down with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
