Sao Paulo, Brazil (SportsNetwork.com) - Cruzeiro maintained its eight-point lead atop the Brasileiro table by scoring four goals in the span of 21 second- half minutes to secure a 4-2 victory over Chapecoense.

Marcelo Moreno netted two of Cruzeiro's goals, with Leo and Alisson also on target for the league leaders, who won for the fourth consecutive match to stay eight points clear at the top of the league.

Zezinho put Chapecoense ahead after just 11 minutes on a deflected shot to give his side a 1-0 halftime lead.

But Cruzeiro hit back five minutes after the break when Leo headed home Alisson's cross.

Moreno notched the first of his two goals two minutes later with a header before Alisson made it 3-1 in the 58th by getting on the other end of a cross and slotting the ball home.

Bruno Rangel scored from close range for Chapecoense to cut the deficit to 3-2 with 20 minutes to play, but Moreno restored the two-goal lead one minutes later to give him six goals from the last four games.

Internacional remains in second place after edging Palmeiras, 1-0, through a 20th-minute goal from Henrique, while Sao Paulo is third after a 1-1 draw at Figueirense as Rogerio Ceni converted a penalty kick in the 76th minute for Sao Paulo.

Botafogo notched a 1-0 win over Santos thanks to a 63rd-minute goal from Daniel, Romarinho's goal in the 74th minute helped Corinthians earn a 1-1 draw with Fluminense, Coritiba and Atletico Mineiro played to a 0-0 draw, second- half goals from Baiano and Danilo Barcelos lifted Sport Recife to a 2-0 win over Criciuma, Felisbino Alecsandro converted a penalty kick in the 71st minute to hand Flamengo a 2-1 win at Vitoria, Goias downed Paranaense, 3-1, behind Erik's hat trick and Gremio slipped past Bahia, 1-0, with Hernan Barcos providing the lone goal in the 59th minute.
