Carlota Ciganda birdied the first playoff hole on Sunday to beat Charley Hull and win the rain-shortened Ladies German Open.

Thursday's first round was the lone round completed as scheduled after rain washed out play on Friday. Officials made the cut for Saturday's play, but those that advanced only finished nine holes.

The only play on Sunday was the playoff as rain drenched Golfpark Gut Hausern. Ciganda and Hull played the par-3 15th in a downpour. After Hull missed her birdie try from about 20 feet out, Ciganda drained her 6-footer for the win.

The duo finished 27 holes tied at 6-under 101. Hull, who tops the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit, finished second for the fifth time this season.

Rebecca Hudson took third at minus-5, while Marjet Van Der Graaff, Linda Wessberg, Nontaya Srisawang and Stefanie Michl shared fourth place at minus-4.
