Glasgow, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Celtic continued its domination over the rest of the Scottish Premier League on Wednesday as the Hoops cruised to a 4-0 win over Kilmarnock at Parkhead.

Joe Ledley scored the opener in the 11th minute when he scored from 10 yards after taking a pass from James Forrest.

Forrest had a hand in the second goal as well 10 minutes later when his cross was redirected into his own net by Kilmarnock's Lee Ashcroft, leaving Killie 2-0 down at halftime.

Things only got worse for the visitors after the break when Ledley picked out Charlie Mulgrew in front of the Kilmarnock net, allowing the midfielder to score from eight yards.

Amido Balde then came off the bench for Celtic to cap the scoring in stoppage time courtesy of an assist from Kris Commons.

The victory moves Celtic 18 points clear at the top of the league and marks the club's 12th straight win in league play.

Wednesday's other contest saw Hearts claim a 2-1 win over St Mirren after going down a goal in the first minute.

Steven Thompson put the Saints in front shortly after the opening kick, but Callum Paterson scored in the fifth minute to level the match and Jamie Hamill converted from the penalty spot in the 52nd to win the game for Hearts.
