Two Arizona Cardinals starters, running back Andre Ellington and right guard Paul Fanaika, have been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ellington sustained a hip pointer in last Sunday's loss at Atlanta. He already had been dealing with soreness in the other hip and, most significantly, a partially torn tendon in his foot.

Second-year pro Stepfan Taylor will start in Ellington's place, with rookie Marion Grice backing him up.

One player who won't be in the mix is running back Michael Bush. He was released by the team Friday afternoon after being signed last week as potentially the power back the team has lacked.

Fanaika's injury will clear the way for Jonathan Cooper, last year's first-round draft pick, to make his first pro start.
