Bengals re-sign Still, bring back Ghee

Cincinnati, OH ( - The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed defensive tackle Devon Still and brought back cornerback Brandon Ghee.

Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Still has appeared in 30 games for the Bengals since the club selected him in the 2012 NFL Draft. He notched 19 tackles in 12 games last season, a year in which he became most known for the care of his daughter, Leah, who last spring was diagnosed with pediatric cancer.

Leah Still, who will turn five years old in May, underwent tests recently which showed her condition to be significantly improved.

"Now that it looks like things are headed on the right path, I'm ready to go back and play football," said Still in a statement Thursday.

Still and the Bengals teamed last year to sell jerseys with his No. 75 to raise funds for families affected by childhood cancer. Nearly 15,000 jerseys were sold, leading to a $1.3 million donation for pediatric cancer research.

"It's great to have Devon back with us," said Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. "We know it has been a very difficult journey for him the last year. Devon remains focused on Leah's recovery and on furthering his NFL career, and we're excited to be able to provide that opportunity."

Ghee previously played with Cincinnati from 2010-13 and last season appeared in six games for Tennessee.
