Kissimmee, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Astros have placed three pitchers on the 15-day disabled list, the team announced Wednesday.

Right-handers Josh Fields (right groin strain) and Brad Peacock (right hip surgery) and lefty Brett Oberholtzer (left index finger blister) will begin the season on the DL.

The Astros also optioned pitcher Kevin Chapman, outfielder L.J. Hoes and first baseman Jon Singleton to Triple-A Fresno and designated outfielder Alex Presley for assignment.

An additional move to create a spot on the 40-man roster will be made prior to Opening Day.
