When it comes to fantastic Italian fare and clever entertaining ideas, nobody can hold a candle to Giada De Laurentiis. And now, thanks to her partnership with Frangelico, Giada has more great recipes and ideas than ever.
We caught up with Giada during a recent stop in Brooklyn to learn her top tips on throwing a great get-together, which of course started with her favorite cocktail ideas.
"I think it's really fun to use a sweet, nutty liqueur — a hazelnut liqueur like Frangelico — in cocktails, but also desserts," says Giada, explaining that she's particularly fond of a drink called the Frizzante (recipe below), and how she uses Frangelico in everything from soufflés to tiramisus at her restaurant in Vegas.
Giada also spilled a few other entertaining do's and don'ts (mostly do's) concerning how you should build your menu, what kind of decorations to use, and even how to serve a dinner that will keep guests gabbing.

- 2 parts sparkling water
- Squeeze of fresh lime
- Pour Frangelico over ice and top with sparkling water. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top, stir and serve.
