Ex-Wall Street Journal Publisher to Give Phone Hacking Testimony

LONDON – The British parliamentary panel investigating the phone hacking scandal says that former Wall Street Journal publisher Les Hinton will testify via video link later this month.

The media committee said Tuesday that Hinton is due to give evidence on Oct. 24.

Hinton worked with media tycoon Rupert Murdoch for more than half a century before he resigned in the wake of the scandal, which has convulsed Britain's media landscape.
