PHILADELPHIA-- Officials at Philadelphia International Airport say a US Airways flight blew a tire as it was coming in for a landing, but the pilot was able to land the plane safely.

Airport spokeswoman Victoria Lupica says the flight from Phoenix was landing around 10:30 p.m. Friday when the inside right tire ruptured.

Lupica says the plane landed safely and that none of the 183 people aboard were hurt. Airport operations were not disrupted.
