ATLANTA -- Authorities say a 75-year-old woman who drove her car through the front of an Atlanta liquor store had hit the store before.

Constance Chapman tells police her brakes went out while she was trying to park at Green’s package store along Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown Monday.

Her white Mazda Miata crashed through the front window, pinning worker Jenetha Gardiner between a broken window and a shelf. Gardiner was transported to Atlanta Medical Center.

Chapman tells police this is the second time she has done this at Green’s.

Authorities say Gardiner also suffered a head trauma from a falling bottle of liquor. Authorities say the wreck shattered 1,500 bottles of alcohol.
