Wolfsburg signed defender Timm Klose from Nurnberg on Monday to a four-year contract.

Klose has spent the past two seasons at Nurnberg, where he made 45 Bundesliga appearances.

The 25-year-old has been capped six times by Switzerland, and he will be reunited with former coach Dieter Hecking at Wolfsburg after Hecking coached him at Nurnberg.

"We had always said that, if an opportunity were to present itself for us to further improve the quality of our squad, without veering off budget, we would act, I'm therefore very pleased that Timm Klose has chosen to join us," said Wolfsburg's chief executive office Mike Schussler.
