Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Krzysztof Wlodarczyk retained his WBC cruiserweight title with a six-round win over Giacobbe Fragomeni Friday night at UIC Pavilion.
Fragomeni (31-4-2), who was in his fifth championship bout, could not continue after round six due to a cut beneath his left eye.
Wlodarczyk (49-2-1), who was making his sixth title defense, moved to 2-0-1 all-time against Fragomeni. He scored an eighth-round TKO of Fragomeni in May 2010 and a year prior the two fought to a draw in Italy.
