White Sox call up Leesman
Chicago, IL – The Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of pitcher Charlie Leesman from Triple-A Charlotte and recalled outfielder Blake Tekotte from Charlotte.
Leesman will make his big league debut in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins. The left-hander tore his ACL last year, but he has returned to go 3-1 with a 3.47 ERA in 13 starts with Charlotte this season.
Tekotte takes the roster spot of outfielder Casper Wells, who was claimed off waivers Thursday by Philadelphia. Tekotte appeared in 16 games for the White Sox earlier this year (April 20-28 and July 5-30).
