Verratti signs PSG extension

Paris, France – Marco Verratti has extended his contract with French champions PSG for an additional year, it was announced Tuesday.

The 20-year-old's new deal will keep the Italy international at the Parc des Princes until 2018.

Verratti moved to PSG from Pescara in the summer of 2012 for a fee of approximately $15 million and made a total of 36 appearances in his first season with the club.
