The Tigers (8-9, 5-2 Ohio Valley Conference) handed the Governors (12-7, 6-1) their first league loss while also snapping Austin Peay's six-game winning streak.

After Peters hit a 3-pointer with 2:52 to go for a six-point lead, Austin Peay used a 6-0 run to tie it at 72 with 57 seconds left.

Peters and the Governors' Melvin Baker each hit jumpers, leading to Peters' final field goal. Austin Peay's Justin Blake missed a 3 with 1 second on the clock.

Kenny Moore scored 20 to lead Tennessee State, including the tip-in with 16 seconds left in regulation to tie it at 65 and force overtime.

TyShwan Edmondson tied his career-high with 33 points, hitting 7 of 14 3-pointers, to pace the Governors.
