ANAHEIM, Calif. – Anthony Stitt and Canyon Barry each scored 14 points, Adjehi Baru recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and College of Charleston defeated Cal State Fullerton 61-48 in the seventh-place game of the Wooden Legacy on Sunday afternoon.
Joe Chealey chipped in 12 points to give the Cougars four starters in double figures. Charleston (3-5) led by at least seven points the entire second half to record it's first-ever win over a Big West Conference opponent.
Baru had five blocks to go with his double-double and Willis Hall pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for the Cougars.
The Titans (2-6) made just 18 of 58 field goals, a season-low 31 percent. Michael Williams scored 14 points and was the only Fullerton player to reach double figures.
Fullerton also shot just 58 percent (7 of 12) from the free throw line and was 5 of 20 from 3-point range.
