Tanner Samson had his first career double-double, 25 points and 11 rebounds, to lead Elon to a 117-73 win over Central Pennsylvania College on Sunday.

Elon scored a school-record 126 points in the first ever meeting between the schools last season. The previous mark was set in 1955 with 124 points.

Samson was 7 of 12 from 3-point range for Elon (5-3) and 2 for 3 from inside the arc — after entering the game 1 for 16 on two-point field goals. Samson, a junior, now has 170 career 3-pointers. The school record at Elon is 264.

Kevin Blake added 19 points, Dmitri Thompson had 18 and Luke Eddy 15 for the Phoenix.

Devon Dorsey led Central Penn College with 26 points. Andre Battle had 18 and Tyree Tucker 12.
