Jonathan Pitroipa scored in the 89th minute as Rennes rallied from two goals down to edge Troyes, 3-2, on Sunday in Ligue 1 at the Stade de l'Aube.

Benjamin Nivet and Stephane Darbion scored in the first half for Troyes, but a goal from Romain Alessandrini three minutes after the break sparked Rennes to its fourth win in its last five matches.

Julien Feret pulled Rennes level in the 81st minute, and Pitroipa followed in the final minute to secure the come-from-behind road win. Rennes has four road wins this season.

Rennes used its eighth win of the season to secure a place in the top half of the standings, while Troyes is winless in five matches and tied with Nancy for the worst record in the league.

Marseille 2, Brest 1

Brest, France - Andre Ayew scored the match-winner early in the second half as Marseille downed Brest, 2-1, on Sunday at the Stade Francis-Le Ble to climb to within two points of Ligue 1 leader Lyon.

Souleymane Diawara scored in the 34th minute for Marseille, but Brest answered through Charlison Benshop before half. Ayew secured a fifth road victory this season Marseille in the 56th.

Marseille secured its grip on second place for another week, and remained just behind Lyon. Brest lost for the second time in its last four, and is just two point above the relegation zone.

Lorient 1, Toulouse 0

Lorient, France - Benjamin Corgnet recorded the only goal in Lorient's 1-0 defeat of Toulouse at the Stade du Moustoir on Sunday.

Corgnet scored on the stroke of halftime to see Lorient improve to 21 points with its second win in its last three outings.

Toulouse has lost four of its last five to remain on 22 points.
